This year at YES, join us for a weekend of learning about building inclusive youth programs and fostering a welcoming environment for our participants.
We are excited to welcome Rabbi Noam Katz and members of the Union for Reform Judaism JewV’Nation Fellowship Jews of Color and LGBTQIA+ leadership cohorts as our scholars in residence for YES.
Rabbi Noam Katz is one of the most exciting and influential voices in contemporary Jewish music. He has brought his high-flying energy and soulful melodies to Jewish and interfaith audiences across North America, Africa and Israel. A longtime songleader/educator at URJ Eisner, George and Kutz Camps, Noam has performed at URJ Biennials, CAJE, BBYO International, Limmud – England, NFTY Convention, and countless summer camps and congregations. Rabbi Noam Katz received Rabbinic ordination from HUC-JIR and a Master’s degree in Jewish education from the Rhea Hirsch School of Education. He currently serves as the Rabbi/Dean of Jewish Living at The Leo Baeck Day School in Toronto, Ontario.
JewV’Nation Fellowship is a leadership development program for visionary Jewish leaders across North America. Over nine-months, the JewV’Nation Fellows, consisting of Reform Jewish leaders gain professional development, networking opportunities, and project incubation with the goal of building the field of Jewish leaders in the Reform Movement and beyond. At YES, the fellows will be providing trainings on how Youth Professionals can incorporate key components of diversity, equity, and inclusion to better serve all of our youth, including Jews of Color, LGBTQIA Jews, and other members of our community from marginalized backgrounds.
Unfortunately, Greene Family Camp is unable to accommodate on-camp housing during the weekend. YES participants are encouraged to make a reservation at the Hampton Inn & Suites Waco South (254-662-9500) and mention “Greene Family Camp” to secure our group rate.Register Now!
