We first met as Mishlachat members (Israeli staff) in 2018. Hadas was a first-time counselor, Guy was a second-year, and Ariel was a third-year. None of us could have imagined that one summer would turn into friendships that would last for years.

Eight years later, we had the opportunity to return to camp together through a special program for Summer 2026, and it truly feels like coming home. Camp traditions came back like muscle memory, but even more meaningful was seeing the lasting impact of the relationships we built here.

This summer, one of the campers that Hadas mentored is now an Assistant Unit Head, one of Guy’s former co-counselors is now an Assistant Director, and the youngest Bonim camper Ariel ever had is now a counselor himself.

Moments like these remind us that camp isn’t just a place for one unforgettable summer…it’s a community that continues to shape our lives, create lifelong connections, and inspires each new generation to come back and give the same experience to others.

We’re so glad to be back in Bruceville for another amazing summer.
