AbbyGlantzAbby Glantz is from Dallas, TX and has a background in dance, choreography, teaching, and managing dance camps. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Behavior Analysis and Psychology from the University of North Texas, and was a member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes. When she's not managing camps, Abby appears in movie and television productions, and works as a choreographer and dance judge. This is Abby's first summer at GFC, however, she spent several summers as a camper in Oklahoma and Colorado. Abby is extremely excited to be serving as the Activities Director and is looking forward to her first summer at Greene!
AbigailKernerAbigail Kerner will be graduating high school and going to Texas Tech in the fall after being a camp counselor. She will be focusing on a dual program in psychology working on a bachelors and masters at the same time within a five year frame. She will be a first year counselor this summer and will be a farm specialist as well. She looks forward to being a counselor for the campers and working on staff. She has been a part of the Greene family for eight years as a camper and she still considers it her second home.
AdiBen-ShimolAdi Ben Shimol is from Ashdod, Israel and this is Adi’s first time in the USA. She loves animals, to bake and swim. Adi has a dog name Jeesy. She is extremely excited to be a rope specialist at camp.
AdiGazitAdi Gazit is a former Israeli national team gymnast . He represented Israel for many years, competing all over the world, and holds national titles. Due to an injury he had in March 2017 in his left shoulder just before European Championship, he had to go through a surgery and a long rehab which made him quit competitive gymnastics. Adi finished his army service in February 2018 and is currently coaching both competitive and non competitive teams in his home club in Holon, Israel.

Due to the injury, Adi started having more time outside of gymnsatics and in this last year started venturing and developing other hobbies, like producing music,acting, writing, and even started being a commentator on the sports channel on TV.

This will be Adi's first summer at GFC and he hopes to influence, help and make this summer as great as possible for as many kids as possible!
AdirMalcaAdir Malca recently graduated from Arts school majoring in Theater, physics and computer science. In the last 6 months, he has been in an army prep program where he learned about Israel, the army and Jewish life in the diaspora. He also voulnteered at a lot of different places. He was also a counselor at Diller Teen Fellows which is a Jewish leadership program. He volunteered in wings of krembo for three years and which is a special needs kids youth movement and also as a fire fighter scout for 2 years. Love playing soccer, being with friends and also do a bit of magic.
AldoJuarezAldo Allende is a musician, he is studying musical production and has a music project called Niland.

He likes movies a lot, reading, music, exercising and animals. This is his second summer at camp and he hopes to make new friends and is excited about seeing last year´s friends.

When he is not working or studying he likes to jam with his guitar or go out with friends.
AlecBarathAlec Barath will be graduating from Plano West Senior High School in June and will be attending the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. He plans on majoring in Finance with possible minors in Entrepreneurship and Spanish. Throughout high school, Alec was very active in his community: interning at a start-up company, babysitting and walking dogs, serving as Student Congress Vice President, and participating in BBYO and YMSL. In his spare time, he enjoys going on adventures with his friends, attending sporting events, and volunteering at the Austin Street Shelter. Last summer, Alec was an Avodahnik for Melachim and Bonim/Shorashim and enjoyed being able to work with the different age groups. He is excited to spend his 11th summer at GFC and looks forward to making new memories as a first-year counselor!
AlexaBrownAlexa Brown will be spending her 11th summer on camp, but 4th as a staff member. She is majoring in special education. She loves reading and Netflix. She is excited to return for Summer 2018 and looks forward to building new relationships and rekindle old ones!
AlexaConradAlexa Conrad will be going to the University of North Texas. Alexa enjoys spending time with friends and cooking. She is very excited about being at camp, this summer its going to be great! This is Alexa's 3rd summer at camp, 1st summer on staff.
AliahKauffmanAliah Kauffman graduated from Plano Senior High School in June and will be attending the University of Missouri in the fall. She plans to major in pre-Occupational Therapy with a possible minor in child development. When Aliah is not nannying, she spends her time playing sand volleyball, going to school sporting events, shopping, and trying new restaurants with her friends. This will be Aliah's 9th summer at GFC and 1st on staff! Last summer she was an Avodah for Melachim and loved the bonds she was able to create with the older kids. After being a camper for so long, Aliah cannot wait for all the new memories she will make as a counselor at GFC!
AlyssaElkinAly is studying at Stephen F. Austin in the Deaf services program. She has been attending camp since she was 8 years old, and she can't wait for another summer here at camp! During the year, she works at a preschool and loves working with children!
AmandaLeventhalAmanda Leventhal is excited to be spending this summer at GFC as the Niviim Assistant Unit Head! This will be her 4th summer on staff and 5th summer at camp. Amanda just graduated from the University of Missouri (M-I-Z!) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and hopes to attend graduate school in the near future to pursue a career in psychology research. In her free time, she loves to cheer on her favorite teams - the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. She's ready to take on a new role as part of the GFC leadership team, and she can't wait to meet everyone!
AmyDrakardAmy Drakard is a full-time student at York St John University in the UK. She is currently studying a BSc in Psychology. She enjoys reading, watching TV series, listening to music and socialising with friends.
This is her first time as a camp counsellor in America. She is looking forward to meeting new people and is excited to see what is in store for her this summer at GFC!
AngelaGlaserAngela is finishing up her second year of community college in Dallas, TX. She is working towards her Bachelors in social work. After the summer she will be traveling and in Israel for a year! She loves photography and reading! Her favorite color is blue and her favorite camp meal is Italian night. This is her 2nd summer on staff and 9th at camp. She can't wait to spend the summer at GFC again!
AnnaSheinbergAnna Sheinberg graduated from St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas in May of 2018. She will be attending Elon University this fall to pursue studies in International Relations. Prior to working on staff, Anna was a camper for 8 years - she is thrilled to be back!

Anna enjoys playing soccer and lacrosse and spending time with her friends outside. She is looking forward to having a great summer.
AshleySwartzAshley graduated from Simmons College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ashley currently works as a nurse at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas on the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. She is pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Texas at Arlington. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, including with our family dog - a golden retriever named Jackson. She also likes to travel in her free time. This is her 4th summer as the nursing director and as part of the leadership team, and her 11th summer on staff (including three years during college). She is excited for the summer session to start!
AudreyZaneAudrey Zane is currently attending Texas A&M University's Department of Visualization studying graphic arts and animation, and hopes to one day work at Disney Pixar. Audrey enjoys spending time with her friends, going on adventures, and doing any type of art. This will be her 2nd summer on staff, and overall 11th summer at camp!
BrianLovelaceBrian Lovelace graduated in 2017 from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Criminal Justice. He's been coming to camp for about 13 years, camper, Avodah, counselor for three years, Assistant Ropes Course director and now is the Ropes Course Director. Brian enjoys hanging out with friends and being active in anyway. Which is why he is super excited to be on the ropes course again this summer.
CaelinOlsonCaelin Olson just finished her first year at Clark University in Worcester, MA studying International Development and Social Change. She was a camper for three years at GFC before moving to Massachusetts, and is excited to be back as a counselor this year! She loves all kinds of arts and crafts, especially painting. In her free time she can be found hanging out with friends or volunteering in her community. Disney movies (especially Moana and Coco) are always something she will be happy to watch or talk about. Caelin can't wait to have fun in the Texas sun and a great summer at GFC!
CaitlinSmithCailtin Smith graduated in 2010 from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Special Education. She graduated in December 2017 from University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Educational Leadership and Policy with a focus on Administration. She currently teaches students with special needs in Del Valle ISD. This is Caitlin's 13th summer on staff, 18th summer on camp, and 4 in the role of Director of Camper Care. Caitlin has been a songleader, t'fillah coordinator, Special Needs Director and Director of Camper Care. She is excited to spend another fun summer at GFC!
CarlosAllendeArturo Avalos was born in Puebla, Mexico and he is now studying fora Bachelor's degree in music production. He really loves to fly on airplanes. He is passionate about animals and t roller coasters.
He is very excited to be at camp again because he loves Greene.
CarlyAufdem-BrinkeCarly Aufdem-Brinke graduated in 2017 from the University of North Texas with a B.S in Applied Behavior Analysis. She has spent many years in the past nannying and working with kids with disabilities, and is currently a T.A in Austin ISD at a school for kids with disabilities. Working with kids with special needs has been a passion of Carlys since she can remember, and she is excited that her dreams are finally coming true! Carly enjoys spending time with friends and family in her free time, and also volunteers as a BBYO advisor for the Austin chapter. She is ecstatic to be back at camp for her second year working on the camper care team! Camp has become a home away from home for Carly, and she cant wait to help make that happen for all the kids at GFC as well!
CarolineMellowCaroline Mellow is attending Tulane University beginning in Fall 2018, and is planning on studying architecture. In high school, she was a Girl Scout and an active member of her school's Science Olympiad team. She loves to read and spend time with friends and is looking forward to another great summer at GFC, and her first summer on staff. This is her 11th summer at GFC
ClioChristieClio Christie is a full-time student studying dance at De Montfort University in the UK. She also performs at small theaters in drama and dance productions. She spends her spare time with her friends and sisters doing anything and everything; and when she's not at work or Uni, traveling over Europe.

This is her first time as a camp councillor and in the USA, so she's extremely excited to see what summer 2018 at GFC has in store for her!
DafnaBarkanDafna Barkan is 21 years old and lives in kfar saba, Israel.
She participated in a dance program at high school. she loves to dance, do yoga and photography.
She served in the IDF for the last 3 years in an 'airborne intelligence' unit.
She is very excited about her first summer at GFC, and looking forward for the new experience.
She will be a photography counselor.
DanHadassDan Hadass was born in Uruguay. He lived there until he was 13 years old and had his Bar Mitzvah there. The parasha was leh leha. Two months after the Bar Mitzvah, he and all his family made Aliyah in 2010. He moved to Netanya and graduated from high school. After that, he was recruited to the army to be a combat in the intelligence collection. This is going to be his first time at camp, and he has been waiting for this for a long time! He is excited for this great experience to teach and learn new things.
DanielZarumDaniel Zarum is a magician and balloon artist from Israel, and is coming for a second year at Greene to teach magic and balloon twisting. In addition to magic and balloon art, Daniel's favorite things are reading, playing the guitar, and making kids happy. After camp Daniel is heading to California to perform at the magic castle, and than to New-York to perform at the Monday night magic. And among all the great things camp has to offer- Daniel is definitely comes back to see his campers from last year!
DaraKaiserDara Kaiser graduated from Cy-Fair High School. Dara did Avodah the previous summer and fell in love with being around kids and seeing them happy at camp. Dara enjoys playing sports and being outdoors. This will be Dara's 11th Sumer at camp, but the first as a counselor. Dara is ready to have an awesome summer at GFC!
DylanSnelson Dylan was born and raised in Austin, TX and will be graduating from Anderson high school in 2018. Dylan likes to spend his time playing basketball with friends and listening to music, and in high school he was a two sport athlete playing baseball and running track. This fall Dylan will be attending the University of California, San Diego as a pharmacological chemistry major.
EitanShapiraEytan shapir is 22 and from Israel. He finished my army service 1 year ago, and from that day he has worked as a karate trainer and a waiter at a restaurant. He teaches kids between ages 5-16.
He loves competing in karate in Israel and all over the world. He also loves playing tennis.
LaineyKomerofskyThis summer will be Lainey's 12th summer at GFC. She loves Reform Jewish youth engagement and is a proud alum of NFTY-TOR. She'll be a freshman at the College of Charleston in the fall of 2018 and will be majoring in Jewish Studies. She's beyond excited for what this summer has in store!

ElizabetKhaimovElizabet Khaimov finished the army service in 2018, was an instructor for emergency situations to citizens at Israel. While this year she teaught children of all ages math and physics. Elizabet like to study and learn new things. It will be her first summer at the camp as a science and technology specialist. She is very excited to be part of the staff at GFC.
EthanBenensonEthan Benenson lives in Dallas, Texas, and after this summer, he will be attending the University of Indiana Bloomington. Ethan has been going to camp his whole life, and loves making friends and participating in camp activities. He loves basketball, ultimate frisbee, and hanging out with campers. This is his 11th year at camp, and his 1st year as a staff member (he was an Avodah last summer).
EvanCoteEvan Cote is going into his sophomore year at the University of North Texas study biology. Evan enjoys cooking and photography in his spare time. He is very excited to be a counselor and archery specialist for the first time at Greene!
GabbyGlubochanskyGabby Glubochansky graduated from Plano West Senior High School in Dallas, TX in June 2018! She will be attending Arizona State University as a finance major in the fall. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, playing piano, reading, and spending time with her friends! This will be her 4th summer at camp. After being an Avodah last summer, Gabby is super excited for another amazing summer at GFC!
GalHazanGal Hazan is a mishlachat member. She was released from military service in the Israeli Air Force in February. She lives near the Sea of Galilee in Israel and works as a waitress in her free time. As a hobby, she makes jewelry. In the summer she will be a lifeguard and guide in the lake on various sailing activities. Of course she is very excited to take part in the camp for the first time.
GretchenEnglanderGretchen currently attends the University of North Texas and studies psychology with a minor in philosophy. During the school year, Gretchen works as a supervisor for UNT's climbing wall and the Outdoor Pursuits Center. In her free time she loves to climb, set climbing routes, go hiking, practice aerial acrobatics, read, and make art! This summer Gretchen is excited to return as an art specialist while also helping out with logistics. Gretchen has been coming to camp since 2007, making this her 11th summer!
GuyShabotGuy came from Yehud, Israel. He is 22 years old, and this is going to be his 2nd summer at camp! He got discharged from the Idf a year ago, and since then he worked as a pizza baker in Tel Aviv. This summer he is going to be a cooking specialist and he is very excited to inspire his campers to cook!
HadasTsachHadas Tsach lives in Israel near Jerusalem. She finished 2 years service in the army as a commander almost a year ago. Since then she has been working with children at a Kindergarten.
When she was a teenager she was a counselor and a head counselor in a youth movement.
Hadas enjoys spending time with her friends, likes to bake , to play with children and have fun.
This is going to be the first year for her at GFC and she is VERY excited!
HaileyNewmanHailey Newman just graduated from the Emery/Weiner School in Houston as part of the class of 2018, and will be attending Indiana University in the fall! She will be studying media, and is very excited to be a Hoosier! When she was in fourth grade, Hailey's best friend decided to go to GFC for the summer, but she was too scared. On a school trip to a different summer camp, she had so much fun she decided she would give GFC a shot. Her mom called, and there was one spot left in her unit and she took it. She had so much fun that she never looked back and has spent 6 summers as a camper at GFC and is very excited to start her first summer as a staff member!
HalleMichelHalle Michel is currently a student at the University of Denver where she is double majoring in Psychology and Accounting. She is active in the Jewish community on campus and loves hiking, climbing, and doing gymnastics. This will be Halle's second summer at camp and on staff and she is excited to be coming back!
HannahEichelbaumHannah Eichelbaum just graduated from Clark HS in San Antonio. She is excited to be attending Tulane University in the Fall. This is Hannah's 10th summer at Greene and her 1st summer on staff. Hannah enjoys spending time with her beloved friends and family, jamming out to her carefully cultivated Spotify playlists, and of course long walks on the beach. Hannahs favorite moment at camp is watching the sun set over Lake Jake on Shabbat.
HannahSimonHannah Simon graduated from the Honors Program at Paschal High School in Fort Worth. She will be attending the University of Texas at Austin. Hannah has attended GFC for 12 years including the summer she spent on Garin Greene (5 week trip to Eastern Europe and Israel.) In her free time, Hannah spends time with her family and friends, enjoys spending time with children, and making people laugh. She is so excited for camp this summer!
HilaEliazHila Eliaz is from Gan Hashomron, small village in Israel, and she really likes to swim, make art and cook vegeterian food. Hila has a background in swimming and sport activities, and is going to be a lifeguard and swim guide at camp. She just finished her army service in a combat unit in the navy, so she is really excited to meet new friends and a new place in the world. What is most important to Hila is that everyone around her will be happy and that will be her first time at camp!
JakeGabelJake Gabel is currently a student at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas pursuing a degree in secondary education. He enjoys spending his time playing video games, doing Krav Maga, and playing tennis. Jake is super excited to return for his fourth summer at GFC, and also to be the self-defense specialist, and will be bringing some new material in his lessons this summer.
JakeMillerJake Miller is a rising Senior at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he is majoring in Jewish Studies and minoring in Hebrew. At school, Jake is the president of his fraternity and leads services at Hillel. Furthermore, Jake has spent two years as the Director of a Sunday school in Atlanta run through Jewish Kid Groups. While this is his first summer at GFC, Jake attended Camp Nebagamon for Boys in WI for 7 years as a camper and 3 years on staff. This year, Jake is SUPER excited to be a member of the education and hopes to make learning about Judaism a part of having an awesome time summer at camp.
JaySelineJay Seline is a rising Junior at the University of The Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. At UIW, he is currently majoring in Sports Management. Outside of the classroom, Jay is in his 3rd season of managing the Womens Basketball team. When not studying or on the bench, he loves cheering on his San Antonio Spurs and his UIW Cardinals at all sporting events. Jay is very excited to be the co-Basketball specialist for the summer, and return to the place he's been lucky to call home for the last 2 summers!
JennaMarkJenna recently completed her first year of cantorial school at Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in Jerusalem. She is a native Houstonian and received her BFA in Theatre Performance at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. After college, Jenna spent five years in New York City acting, and later teaching in various Jewish communities. There, she spent two years as a full-time educator at Central Synagogue in Manhattan, where she oversaw the Shabbat, t'filah, and music program for the religious school. After camp, Jenna will return to NYC for the following four years of Cantorial school and will assume the role of cantorial intern at Congregation B'nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, New Jersey. Jenna is thrilled to return to GFC and cannot wait for a fun summer in Bruceville!
JenniferDaumThis will be Jenni Daum's third year on staff at GFC and her overall 14th summer on camp or participating in camp programs. She is currently going into her junior year at The University of Texas at Austin as a studio art major! She is very excited to get to know all of the campers this summer and continue relationships she has already made!
JenniferSandsJennifer Sands is a fourth-year student at TWU where she is studying EC-6 Education. Jennifer is involved with her sorority at school as well as North Texas Hillel. She is originally from Plano but is currently living in Denton, Jennifer cannot wait to be a third-year bunk counselor this summer at camp!
JonathanScharfmanJonathan Scharfman is currently attending the University of Texas at Dallas and will be a Senior this upcoming semester. He is studying ITS(Information Technology and Systems). Jonathan enjoys spending his free time with friends, playing computer games, working out and playing sports. This will be his 1st time working as a staff member/counselor, 2nd summer at camp, and is very excited to work at GFC!
JorgeRodriguezHi, My name is Jorge Edmer Matias Rodriguez, I´m from Mexico, and I am so proud to be Mexican. I´m 23 years old, I study music production, and I´m Dj too. I love play soccer and I´m so excited for the Word cup. I´m very happy to work at the kitchen with my friends.
JoshFriedman Josh Friedman returns to Greene for his 8th summer on staff and 15th overall as the new Kibbutz Director. Previously, Josh has served as the Asst Unit Head for the unit, as well as Challenge Course Director more recently. He has spent the last 5 years living and working between the US and 4 other continents, attempting to learn how the world learns so that he may become a better teacher for it. This journey has taken him to democratic and G/T schools in Israel, English Education in Europe and Southeast Asia, home schools and forest schools in New Zealand, and adult English schools and Waldorf-style outdoor schools for children in Chile and Peru respectively. This coming year, he will be attending Teacher's College at Columbia University in NYC in order to begin work towards a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science in Education (Josh REALLY loves brainz, but he's not a zombie) and couldn't be more excited to continue the important educational work going on every summer at GFC! Josh's favorite camp things are Shabbat services at sunset, campfire singing and dancing, song session, and as always, most of all, the Challenge Course! Josh can't wait to see all of the campers again and help them to have the most fantastical summer yet on the Ecovillage!
JudeSloterJude Sloter is spending her ninth summer at GFC. She is your Summer Assistant Director working closely with the unit heads and counselors. During the school year, Jude has over 20 years teaching children from preschool age to teens. Jude is excited to once again spend the summer with her three children at camp. This summer is extra special as her oldest daughter will begin her career as a GFC staff member.
KennaAshenKenna Ashen lives in Austin, TX, and will be attending her first year at Texas A&M this upcoming year for mechanical engineering. She is a huge Harry Potter geek who enjoys art, color guard, and playing oboe and piano. She has attended camp for seven years as a camper and is super excited for her first year on staff. She is looking forward to having a ton of fun and helping everyone create lasting memories at camp!
KiraRappKira Rapp is a sophomore at University of Miami studying marketing and business technology with a minor in psychology. She is from southern California but always loves to come back to Texas for the summer. It will be her 9th summer at camp and 2nd summer on staff. Her hobbies include baking, photography, going on adventures, painting, watching Netflix, and playing the piano. Her favorite camp activities are playing softball, horseback riding, going on the zipline, and making tie dye shirts. Also, her favorite camp meals are mac n cheese and french toast sticks.
LexFreemanHey Y'all I'm Lex Freeman, for those of you that don't know me, I would love to get to know you! For those who do I am glad you are in my life! Greene is my home away from home! I love it so much! I have been coming to camp since I was in Bonim. I had to miss last year and all summer long I was longing to be at camp where I belonged. This will be my 4th year on staff and my 15th year out of 22 being at camp. I have also been graciously given the position of Bonim/ Shorashim Assistant Unit head, working hand in hand with my amazing friend Eliana Klein! Some info about me is that I go to Eckerd College in Florida, I'm from Houston (Go Rockets and Astros!), I love to read, watch good Netflix shows, play games, scuba dive, my favorite color is green, and travel. I also have a brother who will be coming to camp this summer who I truly love. What I really truly love above all else though is seeing the smiles of my campers each and every summer knowing that i am making their dreams come true. My favorite things at camp are Shabbat services overlooking the lake with it's amazing sunsets, getting all riled up and pumped during Maccabiah (not happening this year ??), Singing along at song session, swimming at the pool and lake, eating Tavern, havdallah around the campfire, singing stars in the sky and other camp traditions, and especially those wonderful spontaneous moments that make you so glad to be a part of it all.
LielMalkaLiel malka from holon israel. She spends most of her time with friends and family , ad she works out 3 times a week . One of her hobbies is hiking , she likes to hike in Jerusalem area and in the north of Israel. In high school, she studied computer science and programming. In the army she used to be a head of a team of network administrators. She took part in the scouts since 4 grade until the end of her senior year , the favorite part in the scouts was their summer camp 🙂
LindsayKappLindsay Kapp graduated in 2017 from Texas State University with a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. She has since been accepted into the nursing program at Texas State. She enjoys playing quidditch and lacrosse. This will be her 6th summer at camp, and first on staff, and she is extremely excited to be a part of the infirmary staff this summer!
LucilleAlpertLucille Alpert is a student at the University of Oklahoma and just finished her first year; she is majoring in chemistry. Lucy is from Michigan but has always preferred warm weather (which Bruceville provides!) Lucy is so excited to be at camp again as the soccer specialist! Her favorite camp activity is making awesome friendship bracelets and going to the pool. This is Lucy's 2nd summer on staff and her 11th summer at camp!

My name is Maayan Cohen, I'm 22 years old and I live on a kibbutz called Kfar Ruppin which is in a beautiful area called The Valley of Springs. I grew up most of life around nature going on trips by foot or by cycling, so I'm very excited to see what kind of scenery I'll find around camp. Alongside that, my biggest love in life is the theatre world. Ever since I can remember,I've been acting, singing, dancing, you name it. If there is a stage or a microphone nearby, you'll probably find me there doing something silly. All that said, I'm very happy to be your drama specialist this summer and share with you my love for the arts. Some fun facts you should know: I play the hermonica, I listen to international music and one of my favorite plays (I can't pick just one) is Fiddler on The Roof. I've just recently finished my army service and I'm very excited to start with my 1st summer at GFC. So warm up your vocal chords and set the lights, I'm sure we will put together a great show!
MaddieNewmanMaddie Newman is wrapping up her Freshman year at the University of Oregon studying Public Policy and Non-Profit Management! She spent the year becoming a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, UO's Camp Kesem Chapter and the Jewish Student Union. She is ecstatic to head home to GFC as a Kibbutz Counselor for her 11th summer at camp! Her favorite moment as a kibbutz camper is the last day of ropes where we overcame the wood wall; a memory she can't wait to make with her campers! Maddie can't wait to meet everyone and share another magical summer with all of camp. See you soon!
MargoWagnerHey Greene Family Camp ! I am so excited to experience my first summer at Greene Family Camp. I have just finished my 3rd year at Indiana University studying Jewish Sacred Music as a pre-cantorial program. Next semester I am heading to Israel to study abroad at the Jerusalem Sounds Music Academy. Growing up in the mountains of Colorado, I love to snow ski, along with swimming, waterskiing and, and playing Tennis. I am very excited to be part of the Greene Family Camp songleading team this summer!
MarissaHaberMarissa Haber is excited to spend another great Summer at GFC. She started her Greene journey as a Bonim camper and has been coming to camp ever since. This Summer, she will be returning as the Niviim unit head, where she will have the privilege to make camp magical for her staff and campers. Her favorite place on camp is around the campfire, where she can dance to 'Fudgy the Whale.' When she is not at camp, she studies in 4-8th grade education with an extra certification in ESL. Marissa also enjoys going to the dog park, cooking, and reading. She cannot wait to share her second home with you at Greene!
MarissaMacklerMarissa Mackler went to University of Arkansas ( Go RAZORBACKS) and also attended grad school at University of Texas at Arlington for social work. Marissa has her Bachelor's and Master's in social work. Marissa loves watching The Greatest Showman as much as she can. She loves spending time with friends and family. She is very excited for camp this summer. This is Marissa's first time working and attending GFC summer camp and is very excited.
MayBejeranoMay Bejerano is 20 years old and livse in Rann'ana. She was for the past 2 years a sport instructor in commando unit 'Egoz'.She played tennis for 3 years and lovse sports and running. She was in the Israeli scouts for 9 years and lead 70 kids in their year course.
MayaAbmanMaya Abman is from Israel, this is her first time as a Shlicha in Camp, and is very excited for the summer.
She raduated from high school in 2014. During high school was a counselor for 4 years in the Israeli Scouts In St. Louis MO. Since then, she has been to a Pre- Army Program for a year, and done two years of IDF service. In the IDF she served in the Armored Corps in the C4I Corps detachment.
MayaMilsomMaya Milsom, coming all the way from Orlando, FL, graduated from Lyman high school in 2017. She is currently attending Seminole State College as a music major. Maya loves birds, art, music, and being around great people. This is her second summer at GFC and she is so looking forward to reuniting with campers and making new connections this summer!
MelissaEsslerMelissa is a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of North Florida. She holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. She runs an academic school for competitive gymnasts, teaching all subjects to 3rd-8th graders. She also teaches 5th grade Judaica at Adat Chaverim. She loves rowing, dance, and spending time with her 2 kids and her husband. She is very excited to spend her summer as the Assistant Education Director at Greene Family Camp. This will be her very first year at Greene, and she is looking forward to many more!
MichelleRenfrowAfter 18 years of working with NFTY you would think y'all could scare me away somehow, nope. I'm still here. I'm still loving it. I am called 'camp mom' by staff and my son likes to bring me campers who are missing their moms and lets them adopt me for the summer.
Camp is 'my place' and I am so very blessed that every year I get to come home and be with so many awesome kids.

This past year I have been working in Houston as a Disaster Case Manager with Jewish Family Services. I have had the humbling provledge to work with families who were impacted by hurricane Harvey and I have truly loved my time there.

I am looking forward to another glitter filled, artistically messy summer in art!
MollieSloterMollie Sloter is super excited for this summer! This will be her 11th summer on camp, but first as a counselor. Mollie will be attending Tulane University in New Orleans this fall as a freshman. She loves working with children, animals, volunteering, soccer, and music. Her favorite things at camp are high ropes, sunsets, the zoo, and, everyones favorite meal, mac&cheese and fish sticks. Mollie is so excited to spend the summer at camp and can't wait to make another lifetime's worth of memories.
MorganDucarMorgan Ducar is a 2018 graduate of Ryan High School in Denton Texas. She will be attending the University of North Texas for Music Education in the fall. Morgan enjoys playing with her guitar, singing, and hanging out with friends. During the 2017-2018 school year, Morgan was a Varsity Women's Basketball manager, the president of the Varsity Mixed choir, and the Programming Vice President of NoTTY (North Texas Temple Youth) at Congragation Kol Ami in Flower Mound Texas. Morgan is obsessed with her impressive crazy sock collection, and also enjoys knitting. This is Morgan's 4th year at GFC and is excited to see everybody's smiling faces!
NettaFludermanMy name is Neta and I am 20 years old. I was born and raised in Kfar Saba city all my life, with my dad and my 23 years old sister Noa. Dancing was her main hobby for many years. She has a full secondary education. She studied five units of psychology and literature. When i grew up i started becoming interested in the Israeil community, our way of life here in Israel and the main subjects in the public discussions. Then I was accepted to the premilitary college of Maagan Michael, there i was involved in differenet discussions, got a lot of new knowledge, volunteered with children, went to trips and learned to know my country, experienced different people, different places and different living conditions.
Today my favorite hobby is to bake. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, mostly improvising and learning from the internet. Beyond that, I like raeding books. I like working with people and get to know them. I am very interested in a healthy lifestyle, including healthy food, running and sports in general.
NoamKeinanNoam Keinan is part of the Israeli Mishlachat. Noam just finished his service for the IDF for 3 years in the HR unit. Noam is very excited for the upcoming summer and can't wait for a lot more of fun and new experiences. Noam like to hang out with his friends and would love to talk with everyone about what's new and exciting on TV and at the movies. Noam also like card and board games. This is Noam's second summer on staff and the Israeli Mishlachat.
NobleCohenNoble Cohen Graduated from Tom C Clark HS this year and is very excited about his first year on staff. Noble Cohen works with children of all ages at Temple Beth El in San Antonio. Noble enjoys fishing and science. Noble is going to go to A&M in Galveston and Noble wants to be a marine biologist! Noble has been going to camp since bonim and has never skipped a year!
OmerChapelOmer Chapel is 21 years old from Herzliya, Israel . He just finished his army service as a network administrator. He enjoys spending time with friends and at the beach . This is his first summer at
GFC , and he is going to be a life guard as well as a counselor!
OmriHershkovitzOmri Hershkowitz just finished his service in the IDF and jumped straight to his first year summer at camp.
He will be a video-editing specialist this summer, and besides editing - music is his love.
Omri likes to joke about (almost) anything, traveling and spending good time with his friends.
He can't wait to make new friends and experience many great moments at camp!
OndriaGaddOndria Gadd Graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in English, History, and Secondary Education. She is a wife, mother of three, and has taught English in the Allen Independant School District for the last 20 years. When not working, Ondria enjoys reading, Netflixing, and spending time with her family which includes Graham Gadd, our Stem Center director, S'ganimer, Evyn Gadd, and Shoftim twins, Rachael and Micah Gadd. This summer, Ondria is looking forward to being the director of our library and the change of pace it will priovide from the hustle and bustle of being a unit head.This will be her third summer on the leadership team, and she is planning to make 2018 her best GFC summer yet!
OrAvishayOr Avishay is 21 years old, coming all the way from the suburbs of Tel Aviv to her first summer at camp. She graduated high school in 2015 with excellence. Or has two years of experience as a gym instructor and she is very passionate about sports. She likes hiking, dancing, singing, cooking and is very excited to be a part of GFC!
OrEliazOr Eliaz practiced this year spoken-word by studying writing poems and perform them on a stage. After army service he went on the Israeli National Trail for his big trek, just to know Israel better and connect to it from his legs.
In his free time he likes running, hiking on urban tours, culture events and having a good time with family and friends.
He is very excited about being a ropes specialist of the Kibbutz unit this year and wish to make youth of all ages to discover their skills and hidden abilities.

OrLavieOr Lavie was born in 1996 in Israel and then moved to Berlin for 4 years. Since she came back, she lives in a village in the south of Israel called Avigdor. She graduated high school and got drafted to the IDF as a artillery special unit instructor.
Or likes to go to the gym and do spinning, pilates and kickboxing. Also, Or likes to bake and cook, hanging out with friends and traveling abroad.
This is her first time in camp and she is very excited to start the summer and meet everybody!
OrSchreiberOr Schreiber is 22 years old from Qiriat ono, Israel. He just finished his army service in the naval intelligence. Or love's sport and music and this he will be tennis instructor and lifeguard at camp. This is Or's first year at GFC and he is very exited and can't wait to this summer!
PaigeGoodmanPaige Goodman graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2017 with a B.S. in Psychology. Since then, she has been assisting with research in a school psychology lab, nannying, and spending time with friends down in the Big Easy. She misses Texas though (since she is from Dallas) and is extremely excited to be back at camp for her 10th summer and 3rd year on staff. She can't wait to see what the summer brings!
PerryNaseckPerry Naseck will begin at Carnegie Mellon this fall to study Computer Science and Art. Perry grew up in Dallas, Texas and recently graduated from St. Mark's School of Texas. Perry loves hanging out with friends and talking about computers. Perry has served as the NFTY-TOR Media Chair and is very invested in operating the AV equipment at camp. This will be Perry's eighth year at camp, and he is excited to be an AV Specialist!
RaynaSaltzmanRayna Saltzman is a rising sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Molecular Biology and minoring in Chemistry. She enjoys all things science, spending time with kids, and knitting scarves to donate to children in need. In her free time, Rayna enjoys watching hockey, running, and spending time with family and friends. She is ecstatic to be a part of staff at GFC and ready for the new experiences this summer holds. This is Rayna's 1st summer on staff and it will be her 8th summer at GFC!
RebeccaWennRebecca Wenn has just graduated from Bournemouth College in England obtaining a diploma in Travel and Tourism. She is very excited to be joining the GFC team for her first summer at camp working in the Bonim unit. Rebecca is looking forward to meeting lots of new people- staff and campers! Rebecca enjoys travelling, especially in America (this will be her 4th visit in 2 years!) In her spare time, she likes to visit theme parks and riding the biggest roller coasters, and she likes to spend lots of time with her friends and family. After camp, Rebecca plans to visit other parts of America (including looking for big roller coasters!) before returning to rainy England.
RobinKohnhorstRobin Kohnhorst is a rising senior at Texas A&M University studying Nutrition. She is so excited to be spending her second year on staff and third year overall at GFC this summer! When she is not at GFC, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her sorority sisters. When she is at GFC, she loves to go swimming in the lake and pool! Robin cannot wait to help her campers have the time of their lives, while forming life-long friendships.
RyanYablonskyRyan Yablonsky is currently a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin and is majoring in Sports Management. Ryan enjoys playing basketball, cooking, and hanging out with his friends. He is very excited about being the basketball specialist this summer and being back at Greene for another year. This is Ryan's 2nd summer as counselor and 8th summer at GFC!
ShakedAkrishShaked Akrish, 22, from Israel, just finished his army service at the Israeli Navy Submarines Flotilla. In school he majored in computer science and music as a pianist. Shaked enjoys hiking and travelling with friends, loves any water sports activity at the beach, and is thrilled with video editing. He is very excited about being a video editing specialist! This is Shaked's first summer at GFC!
ShiraKarpShira Karp is going to be a sophomore at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale Florida this coming fall. She is studying Special Education with a minor in teacher leadership. She is involved in several clubs on campus including Best Buddies, her sorority Sigma Delta Tau, and an on-campus job. In Shira's free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends at the beach or just watching Netflix.This will be Shira's 13th summer on camp and 2nd on staff! Her favorite thing about being a camper was finding life long best friends and her favorite thing about being a counselor is watching her campers find their life long best friends! Shira cannot wait to be at summer camp and is already counting down the days!
SydneyBenatorSydney Benator was born and raised in Atlanta, GA but moved to Austin to go to school. Sydney recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's of science in nutrition. Sydney is currently completing her dietetic internship to become a registered dietitian and has already interned for 8 weeks at Seton Medical Center and 8 weeks at Lockhart ISD food service. Sydney's hobbies include trail running, reading, and coffee shop hunting (her favorite coffee drink is an espresso). Fun fact: Sydney loves dinosaurs and often will be wearing a lot of dinosaur apparel. While Sydney has never attended URJ before, many of her friends from school have and she is incredibly excited to hold the nutrition specialist position at camp the first four weeks!

My first summer on camp(as a camper) was in 2011. I love art, science, math, and American Sign Language. I love camp with all my heart I hope to make your child feel the same way.
TalSchreiberTal Schreiber has recently completed his military service as a head section (Major in Reserve Duty) of an elite unit in the IDF, which included commanding both officers and soldiers and couple of years being a head instructor in prestigious training.

He graduated in 2013 from Bar Ilan University (Israel) with a degree in Master of Business Administration, After BA in Economics and History of the Middle East in the Excellence program of Haifa University.

Tal currently lives in Qiryat Ono, right at the center of Israel and on his free time enjoys doing all sorts of sports such as bat games (table tennis, tennis, badminton) and ball games, especially volleyball, which he also guides a residential team on a regular basis during the year and has a lot of experience working and instructing children.He's very excited about being Melachim Unit Head at GFC's this summer!
This is Tal's 2nd summer on GFC's staff as a part of the Israeli Mishlachat, and its 4th summer as a counselor at American Jewish summer camps and he makes amazing S'mores 🙂
TalGraffTal Graff is 22 years old from Alon HaGalil in North Israel. It's his 1st summer on staff at GFC.
In 2012, Tal was a counselor of 30 sixth grade kids for a year (They had weekly sessions and overnight camps). For the past months, Tal has been working on his family's farm. In his spare time, Tal like to swim, play basketball and be with friends and family.
TomerElazarTomer Elazar is 20 years old and lives in Tel Aviv - Israel. He's a Table Tennis player and coach for an Israeli team called Maccabi Tel Aviv and therefore he will be this year's our Table Tennis guide.
Other than Table Tennis he enjoys EVERY kind of sport and considers the ball his best friend. Its his first year and camp and he's super excited about arriving and being with the kids !
TylerCardenTyler Carden graduated from Framingham State University in 2018 with a degree in nutrition and dietetics. He is eligible to sit for the Registered Dietitian Exam. He has spent time interning at hospitals, schools, and even a YMCA doing various nutrition-related tasks. He is very excited to be working with the camp as a nutrition therapy specialist. In his free time, Tyler enjoys playing music and playing board/card games. Tyler currently lives in southeastern Massachusetts and has a 3-legged pitbull named Monty (who happens to be a very handsome boy).
TrumanKatzTruman Kohler-Katz graduated from the University of North Texas this spring with a degree in Media Arts. After this summer Truman plans to do freelance work out of Los Angeles. Truman is excited to work as a Media/Video Specialist this Summer. This is Truman's 12th summer at camp and third summer as a member of staff.
WellsGoetzmannWells Goetzmann graduated from Booker T. Washington HSPVA in June of 2018, and will be attending Rhode Island School of Design in the fall. She loves making art, playing volleyball and watching movies. She's been a camper since Bonim and loves camp! She's excited to have another great summer at GFC!
ZacharyMillerZack Miller is currently a student studying accounting in his second year at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a member of the Jewish fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi and the San Antonio Hillel. Zack enjoys spending time with friends and going bowling. He is super excited to meet all the new faces at GFC and to have an amazing time this summer. This is Zack's third year on staff and sixth year on camp.
ZivSheferZiv Shefer 21, finished the army from the intelligence unit three months ago, and until now she was walking the Israeli trail for couple of months. It will be her first time at camp as a sailing counselor and lifeguard. Ziv was a professional windsurfer in her youth and later on a windsurfing instructor for children until the age of 15. Ziv is looking forward for the summer and very excited about it!
