Fall Camp

A Weekend just for Campers

in grades 1st – 7th

October 18 – 20, 2024

Fall Camp is a ‘taste of camp’ weekend for any new or returning camper in 1st through 7th grade! Whether you are a new camper family thinking about summer 2025 or have been to camp before, this weekend is for you!

Fall Camp is a fun-filled camp weekend! Campers can challenge themselves on the ropes course, engage with their friends in a wide variety of sports and arts activities, experience the magic of a GFC Shabbat, and make memories that will last a lifetime. Our camper cabins offer a great opportunity to form new friendships, with bunk bonding activities after a fun-filled day. Havdalah brings us together as a camp community as we say goodbye to shabbat. After Havdalah, we will celebrate a sweet new week, singing classic camp songs around the campfire. We will see you there!

Transportation to and from camp will be provided as part of the weekend tuition. Buses will depart and return from four locations: Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. You will also have the option to drop-off and pick-up your camper.

Fall Camp begins on Friday, October 18, 2024, at approximately 5pm (buses will depart from each city between 2pm and 3:30pm). The weekend will conclude at approximately 10am on Sunday, October 20, 2024 (buses will depart GFC at this time).

Tuition includes all activities, meals, snacks, a t-shirt, and bus transportation from and to Houston, San Antonio, Austin, or Dallas. An additional $10 security fee per camper will be added upon check out to help offset rising security costs and to ensure that our facilities are secure and that our programs can be enjoyed without concern.

Year-Round Program Scholarship Information

URJ Greene Family Camp is pleased to offer partial, need-based financial support to help families and children attend year-round programs.

A significant portion of the assistance we provide is made possible through the generosity of former campers, parents, partner organizations, and friends of GFC. We are extremely grateful for their support and commitment to making camp accessible for families throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

Scholarship form for Participants and their families:

  • Families/Campers MUST register for an event before scholarship funds can be determined.
  • Please email gfc@urj.org if you are applying for scholarship funds. GFC will not process registration payments until after scholarship funds have been applied to your account.
  • For each child/participant for Spring Camp, you must have a separate scholarship application. The Family Camp application is for all members of a family.
  • Scholarship applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served, rolling basis.
  • Our team works directly with your congregation (if applicable) to create a scholarship package that meets your needs.
  • All scholarship applicants must submit their scholarship application and complete their registration at least one month prior to events.
