Family Camp

A weekend for the whole family!

Family Camp is an immersive weekend at GFC for the entire family. For families with children of all ages. We welcome camp-aged campers, 1st grade through high school to get a taste of camp with their families. We also offer a special track through our JFAM grant for families with at least one camper 8-years-old or younger, as an introduction to Jewish camp. Adults – there is programming just for you, too! Experience camp together as a family, enjoy activities planned just for you, and meet new friends. Relax, have fun, and spend quality time together while soaking up the camp magic.

Fall Family Camp is in partnership with Honeymoon Israel through the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. Honeymoon Israel’s mission is to provide immersive trips to Israel for locally based cohorts of couples that have at least one Jewish partner, early in their committed relationship, creating communities of couples who are building families with deep and meaningful connections to Jewish life and the Jewish people. Houston sent their first cohort of couples to Israel in November 2022 and will take off with their second cohort this December. Fall Family Camp is open to families from the entire Texas and Oklahoma region, not only Houston.

URJ Greene Family Camp believes every Jewish family belongs at camp and seeks to warmly welcome all family structures, multi-generation families, families with members who do not identify as Jewish, families of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and families with children and/or adults with disabilities.
