GFC JFAM Family Camp

A weekend for the whole family!

GFC JFAM Family Camp is an immersive weekend at GFC for the entire family. For families with children of all ages, but especially geared towards families with at least one child 8 years old or younger. Adults – there is programming just for you, too! Experience camp together as a family, enjoy activities planned just for you, and meet new friends. GFC JFAM Family Camp specializes in helping families relax, have fun, and spend quality time together while building community, engaging with and learning about Jewish rituals and customs, and soaking up the camp magic.

What is JFAM?

JFAM, the Jewish Family Camp Initiative, is a groundbreaking program founded by the FJC (Foundation for Jewish Camp). URJ Greene Family Camp is fortunate to be chosen as one of seven Jewish camps in the country for the inaugural cohort of JFAM. The JFAM mission aligns with our own: to bring year-round Jewish engagement and outreach to families and help families feel a sense of belonging in the Jewish community and a connection to meaningful expressions of family rituals and traditions.

Is JFAM a Greene Family Camp event?

YES! JFAM powers our Family Camp weekends. For families with young children, we offer age-appropriate programs and supplies to help facilitate a welcoming environment for all.

Is there special pricing for JFAM participants?

YES! If your family has a child or children 8 years or younger, you are eligible to receive discounted tuition for Family Camp!

If this is your first time participating in a Greene Family Camp JFAM Family Camp, your family will receive 50% off the total tuition.

For your second JFAM Family Camp at GFC, your family will receive 25% off the total tuition.

For your third JFAM Family Camp at GFC, your family will receive 10% off the total tuition.

*Only families with a child/ren 8 year or younger are eligible for this JFAM grant. No additional application is required.

URJ Greene Family Camp and JFAM believe every Jewish family belongs at camp and seeks to warmly welcome all family structures, multi-generation families, families with members who do not identify as Jewish, families of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and families with children and/or adults with disabilities.
