Though summer is still months away, we are very busy here at Greene Family Camp. We’ve been prepping for our upcoming year-round events – including Men’s Retreat, Spring Camp, and a host of other events at camp and in our regions that will occur before Session One Opening Day.
The amount of effort that goes into camp and its program reflect the incredible staff that we are blessed to call our own. As our staff prepares for all our upcoming programs, we hope you’ll join us in in wishing one of the members of that staff all the best. She will be leaving soon to pursue other professional interests.
Jessica Dangott, our Assistant Director since 2014, has announced that she will be leaving her role of Senior Assistant Director of Greene Family Camp, effective at the end of May. Jessica spent most of her adolescent and young adult life at GFC as a longtime camper and staff member. She spent time in Israel, and eventually pursued a Masters in Cultural Anthropology prior to returning to GFC as a camp professional.
Through her years on our full-time staff, Jessica has taken a leading role in the recruiting, hiring, and training of our staff. Her efforts have given us the best possible counselors, who we consider the most important people in the camper’s experience. Jessica will be missed as we move forward into Camp’s future, and we wish her the best as she moves onto new opportunities and explores her interests and passions.
While Jessica’s positive impact will continue to be felt at Greene, we are in the final steps to open a search for an Assistant Director to join our Professional Staff team.
We’re extremely excited for another incredible summer and the rest of the year’s programs and retreats. We can’t wait to see you at the next GFC event!
