Greene Family Camp is at the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC in Houston!
As our GFC Full-Time Team has expanded, we’ve been able to spread across cities and become more involved in the local Jewish Community. Whether it’s working with our incredible congregations, partnering with multiple organizations and congregations to develop and run Hurricane Harvey Day Camp, or participating in events throughout the community, GFC has been thrilled to be such an involved part of the Houston Jewish Community. We are fortunate to have three of our full-time team members in Houston throughout the year, including Camp Director Stefani Rozen and Assistant Directors Emily Caulfield and McKenzie Sigle.
We are extremely excited to share that our Houston GFC Team now have offices in the Houston ERJCC! Our main office is located in the hallway across from the gymnasiums and gymnastics areas. Our presence at the JCC places us in the heart of Jewish life in Houston and allows us to be a larger part of the Houston Jewish Community. When you’re going to and from your activities at the J, stop by anytime to say “hi” and grab some GFC swag. We are also excited to announce our biweekly “Camp Hours” that will be starting on January 31st from 4-6pm. Come to the lobby of the JCC where we will have a member of our full-time team ready to chat about our upcoming programs and answer any of your questions! Stay tuned on our social media and weekly emails for reminders about Camp Hours.
When we’re not at the J planning for our Year-Round Events and the best summer yet, you can find us all around Houston at your congregation or the next Jewish community event. On January 27th, find us with CYJ and JCC Day Camps at the Merfish for a Camp Carnival! On February 8th, you’ll find us bringing in Shabbat with Family Shabbat Happy Hour followed by a Family Retreat Q&A at the ERJCC. Build up your appetite for the Houston Kosher Chili Cookoff on March 3rd at Congregation Beth Yeshurun. On March 31st, we’ll be serving alongside Houston’s youth and teens with J-Serve Houston. Stay tuned for events toward the end of the semester, including Lively Lilah and our Houston Summer Sendoff.
We are looking forward to strengthening partnerships with the many Jewish organizations in Houston and we can’t wait to see you at the JCC!
