At the end of GFC meals, after bussing our tables, but before saying birkat hamazon, we give Shout Outs. Shout Outs recognize, thank and highlight members of the camp community who go above and beyond. Now, we want to give Shout Outs to YOU for the many ways you, our camp community, supported GFC in 2024. Whether you’re a current camp family, staff member, alum, or a friend of camp, you play a vital role in making camp the magical place we know and love.
Shout Out and todah rabah to…
- More then 200 donors who helped raise vital funds for camp. These funds help camp run premier programs, enhance our facilities and offer need-based financial aid to more than 100 families
- Camp Committee and Leader’s Council, our lay leaders who generously give their time and talents to ensure camp remains a magical place
- The many volunteers who donate their time and help amplify the work and impact of camp. From attending Mitzvah Weekend to hosting international and Israeli staff members, volunteers give to camp in meaningful ways year round.
- Summer Staff who create memories and transformative camp experiences for campers. Our staff help steward the next generation of our community while growing into Jewish leaders themselves.
- The many Faculty and Congregations who serve as partners in building a bright future for the Texas and Oklahoma Jewish communities and for being an important part of our summer team.
- The Jewish Federations of Dallas, Houston & San Antonio, and Shalom Austin – for their integral partnership and for providing vital funds in support of Campers2Gether, ensuring strong connections between GFC campers and Israeli peers,
Each and every member of the GFC community gives to camp in a unique way. We are grateful to have you in our community and for the many ways you give to camp.
